Frequently Asked Questions
What information is passed between Zigaflow & Xero?
As with everything relating to Zigaflow, we put you in control.
Things like sales invoices, purchase orders, & supplier invoices are typically created in Zigaflow and then the information from those is passed in to your Xero account.
You can also choose when this happens and set different rules up on how and what is passed across.
You can also do things like updating Xero contacts automatically as contact information is updated in your Zigaflow account.
Do you support Xero tracking categories?
We do, yes.
You can mirror up to 3 different tracking categories in your Zigaflow account.
Using custom fields in Zigaflow, you can automatically pass this information into Xero against a whole sales invoice or purchase order, or even against line item detail.
Is it a 2-way integration?
For certain things, yes.
For example when you process payments in your bank feed against a sales invoice which has been exported from your Zigaflow account, you can automatically update the status of that invoice in your Zigaflow account to reflect the payment.
This works exceptionally well, for things like upfront or deposit payments as it can work alongside Zigaflow's own automations to then trigger jobs or orders to be release with no further manual intervention - but only if you want it to!
Can I import data from Xero to get started?
There are certain things you need to import to get set up with your integration.
Your account codes and tax codes for sales and purchases need to be imported to mirror what you have set up in Xero - this allows, the correct account codes and tax codes to be passed back to Xero against line items for your financial reporting.
You can also use our import templates to bring in any historical information that you might need, for instance quotes or orders managed outside of Xero.
With any new system, you have an opportunity to "start over", so it's wise to validate any data before importing to ensure your information is accurate and up to date.
